Self Employed User Experience & Product Design Consultant
June 2017 - now
As a Product Design Consultant, I help software companies create better products with better user experiences.
This includes user research, UX and UI design, user testing and validation as well as advising on feature sets.
Clients include online accounting software Billy, acquiring company Clearhaus and creative technology company Abtion.

Product Designer, Zendesk
October 2014 - May 2017
Zendesk is a global customer service software company based in San Francisco, with a broad suite of products.
I was based in the Copenhagen office, where we were building the Help Center products. My main focus was on the Knowledge creation and management products. And my responsibilities were user research, user experience- and user interface design, as well as testing and validation. All in close collaboration with product managers, developers and fellow designers across the globe.

UI/UX Designer, Billy's Billing
October 2012 - September 2014
Billy's Billing (now simply Billy) is an online accounting software company focusing on providing the easiest-to-use accounting software for entrepreneurs and small businesses with little to no knowledge of accounting.
My responsibilities were to design the entire UI and UX of the web app. An exciting challenge, when the goal is to make something as difficult (and to be fair, boring) as accounting, a user friendly experience.

BSc Software Development, ITU
August 2012 - September 2014 (yeah, I'm a university dropout)
The three-year BSc in Software Development teaches you to design and programme software, as well as communication and business. This combination of disciplines provides you with the qualifications for developing and designing IT solutions, as well as providing consultation for businesses and organisations on a given solution.
I managed to complete 2 of the 6 semesters (quite well, actually) before seizing the opportunity to join Billy's Billing full time.
February 2012 - June 2012: Supplementary course in Mathematics Level A. Required to get into Software Development at ITU.

Graphic Designer Trainee, Pravda advertising agency
June 2008 - February 2012
Pravda is a full service advertising agency serving both B2C and B2B clients. Pravda mainly focuses on technically complicated clients like Danfoss and Nianet (fiber-optic communication).
My responsibilities at Pravda included Graphic Design, Advanced photo manipulation, Illustration design, Client contact and IT management.
Quick summary up until this point:

3 years of Aarhus Business College

Then 6 months Graphic Design course at Kompetencehuset

And then 4 months of compulsory military service
Also:
Started my work life at 13. Distributed advertisements in the neighbourhood. Distributed Go-Cards to cafés and coffee shops. Was an internal service something at ILVA for a couple of years - that was a lot of fun! But then I turned to the dark side and became a telemarketer, selling book clubs over the phone. Sorry about that. It didn't last long - I became a cashier at a supermarket instead.
